Road Trip on a Budget
With school starting soon you are thinking of taking a last minute family vacation. Funds are limited and so is time. You want to take your family on the vacation of a lifetime but there is just no room in the budget. A great solution to this problem would be a family road trip. You can cover more ground and the cost is minimal as oppose to flying to an exotic location. Although in some communities the price of gas can be quite high it is still cost effective to take your family on a road trip.
By having a road trip instead you are able to explore more places and go on more adventures. You can check out the places you drive by but never get the time to stop. You can go to your favorite spots and take time to enjoy them. Going on a road trip does not mean that you have to stay in a hotel. Make it a fun family outing with camping. Bring your tent and portable BBQ and cook outside in the fresh air as your kids make new friends. Camping will provide your child with the ever lasting memories you will hope they will have when they get older.
For snacks you can go to bulk stores and buy your snacks. You can also bring fruit and a cooler with you to keep any perishable foods and drinks cold. You can make sandwiches and let loose. There is no reason why you would have to spend a lot of money on food.
Road trips are a great way for families to come together and spend quality time together in a short amount of time. It is a cost effective solution to the problem many families face of time and money and it will be just what your child needs before going back to school. Have young children?
